Working from Home in Pandemic.

COVID-19 has accelerated the tendency toward working from home. After the pandemic, many people who had never worked from home before found themselves rushing for consistent internet access to work, managing distant learning, and engaging themselves in virtual social activities.

Many companies such as Viasat have stepped up to improve the connection of unserved and underserved areas, and their networks have been optimised based on consumer needs and overall increased demand. 

Satellite internet service bridges the "digital divide" by providing service in remote places where terrestrial providers are unable to serve. CNET, a leading worldwide consumer-technology media brand, recently rated Viasat the "best satellite provider" of 2021 for rural internet access in the United States due to its high speed, large data volume, and cheap Wi-Fi device rental fees. 

Many people who lived in remote places prior to the epidemic, as well as those who relocated from urban to rural areas in search of more space during the pandemic, discovered they could perform their professions efficiently without commuting if they had access to reliable and high-quality internet. 

According to a recent survey done by Viasat, customers in these rural areas ranked email as the most critical internet service they required to work from home, followed by the ability to make video calls, and satellite internet enables these activities. Furthermore, many elderly people in outlying places have learned that consistent internet access provides safety and connection with family, friends, and medical treatment. 

Furthermore, 66% of respondents in these remote places responded that if given the option, they would work from home in the future. Residents in remote places may now work and stay productive from home thanks to satellite internet connection.
