The Sporty Electric Bike Lora

Lora electric motorcycle concept by Urbet, a Spanish electric motorcycle company. Production-ready Lora will be available by the end of 2022. Both Lora and Lora S models are L3e approved, which means they may be driven in Europe by A1 licence holders.

Electric motorcycles are now commonly available. International automakers have been competing to develop their own versions of the perfect all-electric two-wheeler. The bulk of electric two-wheelers designed for daily commuters is, predictably, scooters. It just makes sense because they are extremely comfortable platforms that are also extremely easy to ride.

Having said that, it's quite encouraging to see electric two-wheelers being developed to provide a more enjoyable riding experience. This is the case with the Lora electric motorcycle concept by Urbet, a Spanish electric motorcycle company. The Lora, first shown as a concept sketch in May 2022, is everything you'd expect from a street-oriented electric naked bike. The Marbella, Spain-based company has previously supplied low-cost electric scooters built by Chinese manufacturers, such as the Nura and Ego. The Lora, which is clearly a from-the-ground-up design, seeks to distinguish itself from these low-cost competitors.

If we only had concept sketches of the Lora in May, Urbet has improved its design and actually produced the bike in metal. The production-ready Lora certainly looks appealing, and new facts about the bike's performance and trim options have now emerged.

Performance:

In terms of performance, the standard model Lora houses a battery and an electric motor inside the frame, much like a typical motorcycle's engine. It has a steady power output of 5 kW, or roughly 6.7 horsepower, and a peak power output of 11 kw, or 15 horsepower.

Range on a single charge:

With improvements to the electric motor, the Lora S moves up the ladder and packs even more punch. The top-of-the-line model is predicted to produce 19 kilowatts, or 25 horsepower. In terms of range, the regular Lora is said to be capable of travelling 120 kilometres on a single charge. Meanwhile, the S is said to have a range of 240 kilometres in Sport mode and an even more amazing 360 kilometres in Eco mode.

Pricing:
In terms of pricing and availability, the Urbet Lora and Lora S models are both L3e approved, which means they may be driven in Europe by A1 licence holders. The speedy electric naked bike is anticipated to be delivered before the end of 2022, with pricing starting at 8,250 Euros (about $8,498 USD) for the standard model and 11,750 Euros (roughly $12,103 USD) for the Lora S.
